Louisiana food is some of the best in the world and is what will make a Cajun girl homesick very fast. Thankfully for freezers and parents that load their suitcases up with boudin, smoked sausage and crawfish ettouffée, I can have the real thing even in New York. This weekend we invited some Louisiana-philes over for one of my favorite new cajun food inventions: Boudin Pie: Pie shell filled with boudin topped with mashed sweet potatoes and sprinkled with pecans. It's the perfect Salty Sweet.
