Fashion Note: Sailing Style, Part I

One of the great adventures of Summer is Sailing. This summer I made it a goal to become a better sailor. While my tacks are still slow, my sailing style is swift.

Sailing is sometimes perceived as a luxurious sport, yet it is still A SPORT which requires sharp thinking and nimble bodies.  We cannot all sit on the hull like Jackie O and bask in the sea breeze.

Yet, there is still a way to be practically dressed crew and look good doing it.

Sailing Style: Preppy, Practical, yet Polished

This look is "How to go from Work Day to Sunset Sail"

Nantucket Red Chinos are loose enough for quick movement on the boat and super stylish at work with a rolled up hem. The webbing belt is fun and preppy, but holds up the chinos that eventually stretch out way too much. The necklace is like the coral at the bottom of the sea whose only purpose is to add color and pizazz. Later at the Marina I will trade in the sandals for Sperrys.
